How to Add Site Owners to your Google Webmaster Tools?

when you hire a Freelancer from Elance , odesk or freelancer websites.

When a Freelancer asks to grant aces to your site webmaster tools account, For submitting a sitemap or to do any other necessary things to re crawl or to remove indexed urls in google, i will tell you the way ,how to add site owners for your webmaster account.

Step 1: Go to your webmasters account.  if you don’t know, about google webmasters , Search ” google webmasters ” in google. Go to first url in search.

Step 2 : You Must be already verified your website, to grant aces to a new user.

Otherwise, Add a Site & verify by adding a meta tag before your Website <head> part.

For wordpress users, you can easily verify your website by using, yoast wordpress seo plugin.

Step 3 : After verification, you will find a Settings icon on right side (top). click on that, you will see the options displayed in below image. Click on ” Users & site owners ” .

Step 4: You will see a option on top right of the page, to add a site owner. You can also link Google analytics,change site settings, & if your verification failed before, you can re-verify your website, using the ” verification details tab”

Step 5:  Click on Add a new user, A pop up will open to add a new user, the user must have a google webmasters account, By adding a user, he/she wont get full aces to the website, Except you permitted. so they cant delete your website.

The User can add a sitemap,delete links from google, make use of fetch as google & also can get keyword query’s data.
